We were the 4th time in Århus at SPOT Festival to see on two days some of our favourites scandinavian artists and experience some great concerts. Especially we looked forward to a lot danish acts, we discovered and wrote about the last year. To pick our concerts was quite hard, many concerts at the same time.
SPOT is a festival in the middle of Århus with different venues. Small, medium and bigger stages. The atmosphere is always very cosy.
4 Guys From The Future made a nice gig at Atlas, a small but intense venue. We can just highly recommend their album Adagio again and again.
Kill J played at Radar in Godsbanen, a small venue, but perfect size. This new thrilling danish act just signed to Chess Club Records, the label already signed MØ and Oceaán.
Heavy bass and electronic, great show, excited crowd.
The best song 2013 for Camels & Lions came from danish Wunderkinder Blaue Blume. It's not a secret we are fans from the first minutes. And it seems we are not alone anymore. The Lille Sal was completely full. A really dynamic and energetic concert we will not forget.
Cosy Lørdagsslik Dayparty with 20 minutes gigs from Kill J, Farao, Spillemændene, The League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Sekuoia and Mont Oliver. Nice weather, breezy but sunny. And sweets for free.
Next to the gig from Blaue Blume, this concert was one of the best. Treefight For Sunlight are not just extremely sympathic guys on stage, they made the evening with their concert incredible special. They played in Voxhall, mediumsize venue and good atmosphere, if it's crowded. And it was a fantastic one. A band to watch out for 2014. Their second album is soon out. We love it!
The New Spring played at Filuren, a smaller venue for silent concerts. A silent audience listened to the strong music from Bastian Kallesøe. A new album is coming soon.
We have seen a lot of concerts in two days: Broken Twin, Sumie, Nordlyd Sessions with Alice Boman, Blaue Blume, Kill J, 4 Guys From The Future, My Heart The Brave, Spillemændene, Treefight For Sunlight, League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Jaakko Eino Kalevi, The New Spring, Schultz And Forever, Ice Cream Cathedral and some more.
Thank you SPOT Festival for having a great time again in Århus.
